Our finance team plays a foundational role in keeping Velaura moving by managing the vendor relationships, payment operations, and internal controls that support a world-class engineering organization. We are a lean team that values accuracy, ownership, and the ability to build process in an environment that is still taking shape.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to support our finance team. This role is essential to maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring timely vendor payments, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our AP function.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Processing:

• Manage full-cycle AP, including voucher entry, invoice verification, and weekly payment processing
• Maintain vendor records, including contact and banking information
• Track and ensure timely vendor payments per purchasing policies

Vendor Communication & Reconciliation:

• Liaise with vendors to gather required documentation (e.g., W9s, payment details)
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate AP aging reports and documentation

Purchase Order & Expense Management:

• Process expense reports and update vendor/merchant accounts as needed
• Review and maintain purchase order records and open PO balances
• Communicate PO status updates to departments

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of AP experience, ideally within a startup or fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Team-oriented mindset with a dependable work ethic

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $65,000 and $75,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience aligned with Velaura’s internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
