Position summary:
We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Network L1 Engineer to join our global 24x7 network operations team. The role involves first-level support for enterprise network infrastructure, issue triaging, and collaboration with L2 teams for resolution. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a corporate or enterprise networking environment, with a solid foundation in L1-level troubleshooting and incident response.

Please do not apply if your experience is primarily in ISP NOC, telecom core networks, customer provisioning, desktop support, field support for ISP/telecom/banking, or L1 monitoring roles.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide first-line support for enterprise network issues including WAN, LAN, VPN, and wireless
· Perform initial L1-level troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers
· Manage and triage alerts; escalate as needed to L2 teams with preliminary analysis.
· Support basic network configurations, connectivity testing, and hardware health checks
· Ensure timely logging, categorization, and documentation of incidents and service requests
· Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and follow predefined runbooks for repetitive tasks
· Assist in collecting logs, configuration data, and other artifacts for deeper analysis by L2/L3 teams
· Work in rotational shifts for 24x7 global operations including night and weekend coverage
· Maintain shift handover notes and status updates to ensure operational continuity
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors on ticket updates and follow-ups
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Total Experience: 2 to 3 years
· Relevant Network Experience (Enterprise/Corporate): 1 to 2 years
· Proven hands-on L1-level experience with enterprise networking technologies
(Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)
· Familiarity with network security best practices and configurations
· Ability to work in 24x7 shift operations, including night/weekend rotations
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelors in Computer Science/IT/Electronics Engineering, M.C.A. or equivalent University degree
· Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
· Strong documentation, verbal and written communication skills
· Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
