About Role
The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect – Cybersecurity is a senior technical expert responsible for designing and presenting advanced security solutions to enterprise clients. This role focuses on high-value OEM technologies including Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Zscaler, and encompasses a wide range of cybersecurity domains such as AI Security, firewalls, SIEM, XDR, Network Access Control, and managed SOC services. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to craft secure, scalable, and compliant solutions tailored to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Discovery:
- Partner with sales teams to understand customer security challenges, regulatory requirements, and business goals.
- Conduct discovery sessions to assess current security posture, threat landscape, and technology stack.
- Build trusted relationships with technical and executive stakeholders.
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Architect end-to-end cybersecurity solutions using technologies from Cisco (ISE, Cisco Secure Firewall, XDR), Palo Alto (NGFW, Cortex XDR), Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiSIEM), and Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA).
- Design managed SOC services and integrations with SIEM platforms (Splunk, LogRhythm, Elastic).
- Have a background in AI Security (User Access and Application Security)
- Ensure solutions meet compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA.
- Develop secure access strategies including Zero Trust, SASE, and identity-based segmentation.
Technical Enablement & Presentations:
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept (PoC) environments.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences.
- Support sales enablement through training and documentation.
Proposal Development & Documentation:
- Create technical proposals, SOWs, architecture diagrams, and compliance summaries.
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs with detailed solution descriptions and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with delivery capabilities.
Market & Technology Awareness:
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity technologies, threats, and trends.
- Analyze competitor offerings and position Gruve’s solutions effectively.
- Educate internal teams on security advancements and best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, pre-sales engineering, or consulting roles.
- Deep expertise in firewalls, SIEM, XDR, ISE, and managed SOC services.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Zscaler security technologies.
- Strong grasp of compliance standards and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualification
- OEM certifications such as Cisco CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE4+, Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional.
- Experience with cloud security platforms and integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with container security, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Exposure to Zero Trust architectures and SASE frameworks.
- Ability to lead technical workshops and influence customer decision-making.
Salary Range
$125,000 to $160,000 USD
