About the Role
Seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer (8+ years) to design, implement, and manage secure enterprise network solutions with expert-level knowledge in routing/switching (static, OSPF, BGP), firewalls, SD-WAN, and AWS environments. The ideal candidate possesses deep practical expertise with Juniper switches, SRX/ASA/Palo Alto firewalls, VPN technologies, and demonstrates proactive self-learning of new platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures using advanced routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, static), firewalls, SD-WAN, and AWS cloud connectivity.
- Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Juniper switches, SRX firewalls, Cisco ASA, and Palo Alto firewalls in enterprise settings.
- Administer VPNs (IPsec, site-to-site, remote access, AWS VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute) and establish secure cloud hybrid connectivity.
- Respond to and resolve complex security events and incidents, ensuring systems resilience and business continuity.
- Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments, and implement robust policies for threat detection, prevention, and remediation.
- Act as a subject matter expert collaborating with IT, security, and DevOps teams on network architecture and future initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- BE / MCA + 8+ Years experience
- 8+ years in enterprise network security engineering (routing, switching, firewall integration, troubleshooting).
- In-depth expertise in OSPF, BGP, static routing, SD-WAN architectures, and AWS VPC, security groups, VPN, and transits.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Juniper (switches, SRX), Cisco ASA, and Palo Alto firewalls (deploy, configure, troubleshoot).
- Deep understanding of network security (IPS/IDS, NAT, ACL, VPN, segmentation, zero trust), OSI/TCP/IP model, and secure edge solutions.
- Ability to self-learn and adapt to new technologies independently on-demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE Security, JNCIP-SEC, Palo Alto PCNSE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking) preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership abilities.
- Self-starter who actively engages with emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
- Experience in scripting/automation (Python, Ansible), cloud infrastructure as code, and multi-vendor environments is an advantage.
