About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager – Data & AI to lead our high-performing engineering teams in building data-driven platforms, products, and AI-powered solutions. This role requires a strong leader with deep technical expertise in data engineering, AI/ML, and distributed systems, combined with proven experience in scaling teams, driving innovation, and delivering enterprise-grade solutions. As a senior leader, you will partner closely with product, research, and business stakeholders to shape strategy, foster technical excellence, and ensure the execution of critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the vision and roadmap for Data & AI platforms and products.

  • Build, mentor, and inspire diverse, high-performing engineering teams.

  • Drive engineering excellence, setting high standards for architecture, quality, security, and scalability.

• Technology & Delivery

  • Oversee the design and development of large-scale data pipelines, AI/ML systems, and intelligent applications.

  • Partner with Data Science and Research teams to productize machine learning models.

  • Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality, balancing innovation with business needs.

  • Drive adoption of modern data and AI technologies, frameworks, and tools.

• Collaboration & Influence

  • Partner with Product, Research, and Business leaders to align technology solutions with strategic objectives.

  • Influence decision-making at the executive level by providing data- and AI-driven insights.

  • Act as a thought leader for Data & AI initiatives within the organization and industry.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI/ML, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

• Experience:

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in people and engineering management.

  • Proven track record in leading large, distributed teams in data engineering, AI/ML, or cloud-native platforms.

  • Experience delivering data platforms, real-time analytics, and AI/ML-powered products at scale.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, big data platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Flink), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

  • Hands-on knowledge of ML lifecycle management (training, deployment, monitoring).

  • Expertise in modern data architectures, APIs, microservices, and MLOps best practices.
