About Gruve

Gruve is an innovative software services startup dedicated to transforming enterprises to AI powerhouses. We specialize in cybersecurity, customer experience, cloud infrastructure, and advanced technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs). Our mission is to assist our customers in their business strategies utilizing their data to make more intelligent decisions. As a well-funded early-stage startup, Gruve offers a dynamic environment with strong customer and partner networks.

Position Summary:

The Pre-Sales Consultant (AI & Cybersecurity) will play a critical role in designing next-generation, AI-driven security architectures that address complex customer challenges across identity, cloud, data, and network security. This role requires a technologist with strong learning agility and the ability to translate business needs into scalable, multi-layered solution frameworks. You will serve as the technical backbone of the sales cycle—leading discovery, shaping solution strategy, and driving successful customer outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep cybersecurity expertise with emerging AI-in-security capabilities and thrives in a fast-paced, consultative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales teams to assess customer needs and recommend AI-driven and traditional cybersecurity solutions.
  • Lead solution design across AI Security, IAM, CNAPP, Data Security, SSE, NAC, NG-SIEM, SOAR, XDR, and Network Security technologies.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into security workflows such as AI SOC agents, auto-triage, alert summarization, and AI-enabled assessments.
  • Conduct technical presentations, demos, workshops, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for customer use cases.
  • Develop high-level and low-level security architectures, technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
  • Drive customer discovery for AI-in-security initiatives and map requirements to feasible solution architectures.
  • Own the solution cycle from lead qualification through PoC execution, proposal development, and deal closure.
  • Gather detailed technical and compliance requirements and translate them into tailored solution designs.
  • Provide technical inputs for pricing, scoping, and solution strategy while ensuring governance, accuracy, and process adherence.
  • Educate sales teams on emerging cybersecurity and AI trends, competitive insights, and market developments.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and effectively position the company’s solutions in customer discussions.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure technical relevance and customer alignment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Networking, or a related field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in cybersecurity pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical architecture roles.
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, XDR, NDR, IAM, CNAPP, SSE, NAC, and WAF.
  • Understanding of AI concepts applied to security operations (AI agents, automation workflows, auto-triage, summarization, L1/L2 augmentation).
  • Strong architectural skills with experience developing HLDs, LLDs, PoCs, and SOWs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CEH, cloud security certifications, or OEM-specific credentials.
  • Experience with AI-in-security platforms or next-generation SOC technologies.
  • Experience working with MSSPs, cybersecurity consulting firms, or global security solution providers.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS, or similar.
  • Experience designing repeatable frameworks or globally adoptable security solution models.
