About the Role

Gruve is building an AWS-aligned Data & AI execution capability focused on helping enterprises move Data & AI workloads from pilot to production. We are hiring an AWS Solutions Architect – Data & AI who will operate in tight alignment with AWS account teams, Partner Solutions Architects, and Data & AI Specialists to design, validate, and deploy secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AI solutions on AWS.

This is a hands-on, field-aligned senior individual contributor role where you will own architecture from discovery through production readiness, ensuring solutions meet AWS best practices and stand up to deep technical scrutiny.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Workload Ownership

  • Own the technical success of customer workloads from discovery through early production.
  • Lead architecture discussions covering business objectives, current-state constraints, and target-state AWS architectures.
  • Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework to all designs.

AWS Data & AI Architecture

  • Architect solutions using AI/ML services including Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, Knowledge Bases, SageMaker, Strands, and related AI/ML platforms.
  • Demonstrate understanding and ability to technically deep dive into:
    • Prompt management

    • Agent tool development

    • Agent memory management

    • Error handling

    • Security and authentication

    • Monitoring, visibility, and auditing

    • MCP, A2A, and other widely used agent protocols

  • Hands-on experience with agent building and testing.
  • Strong understanding of foundation models including transformers, attention layers, multi-modality, embedding models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
  • Design with AWS Data services such as S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, and RDS.
  • Ensure secure handling of data services including VPC configuration, network routing, and role/permission management (IAM).
  • Make architectural decisions balancing speed, cost, security, and operability.
  • Experience with Snowflake is a plus.

AWS Field & Partner Engagement

  • Work closely with AWS Account SAs, Partner SAs, and Data & AI Specialists.
  • Support co-sell motions through joint customer meetings, architecture validation, and proof-of-value engagements.

Delivery Readiness & Execution

  • Ensure architectures are implementable, secure, observable, and production-ready.
  • Stay engaged through early production phases to ensure workload success.

Internal Enablement & Pattern Development

  • Contribute to reusable AWS reference architectures and delivery patterns.
  • Enable sales and BD teams with technically sound solution narratives.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture or technical consulting.
  • Deep hands-on AWS experience.
  • Strong background in Data, Analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
  • Customer-facing architecture leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certifications.
  • Experience with AWS co-sell motions.
  • Enterprise security and governance knowledge.
  • Track record of taking AI workloads from POC to production.

Salary Range

$170,000 - $220,000 + Benefits

This is a full-time position with Gruve, based onsite at our Redwood City, California headquarters, with a five-day in-office schedule.
