About the Role
This is a critical technical role responsible for the lifecycle management and operational excellence of our advanced semiconductor manufacturing tools. You will serve as the overarching owner of equipment performance, driving everything from the initial procurement and facility setup to ongoing optimization. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on expertise in wafer-level assembly machinery and thrives on minimizing downtime through robust predictive maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Lifecycle Management: Lead the evaluation, selection, procurement, set-up, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment and the necessary facility infrastructures.
Advanced Tool Ownership: Serve as the subject matter expert for advanced packaging and wafer-level assembly equipment, specifically handling back-grinders, stealth dicers, expanders, flip-chip bonders, pick-and-place systems, reflow ovens and solder paste printers
Uptime Optimization: Take overall ownership of maintaining high equipment up-time and proactively minimizing unscheduled down-time across the production floor.
Maintenance Strategy: Design, implement, and execute highly effective periodic and predictive maintenance programs for all production equipment to ensure consistent operational efficiency and yield.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related discipline.
Extensive hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining advanced packaging and wafer-level assembly equipment.
Proven track record of defining equipment specifications, driving vendor selection, and completing successful machine buy-offs (FAT/SAT).
Strong analytical skills for root-cause analysis of equipment failures and the ability to implement permanent corrective actions.
Experience establishing predictive maintenance protocols in a high-tech manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
