About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior AI Voice Engineer to join our Voice Platform team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in voice AI technologies—including ASR (automatic speech recognition), TTS (text-to-speech), and conversational AI design—to build and optimize voice-first experiences that feel natural, responsive, and context-aware. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, product, design, and customer-facing teams to shape solutions that deliver measurable value in user engagement, operational efficiency, and product innovation

This is a high-impact role that will influence our platform, strengthen customer outcomes, and shape our company’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of voice interaction patterns, speech recognition challenges, and user needs to identify high-leverage opportunities.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, design, and data science teams to define and refine product requirements

  • Own the design, execution, and optimization of end-to-end voice capabilities.

  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to validate concepts and gather feedback

  • Ensure a seamless user experience that balances simplicity, rigor, and delight

  • Mentor and support cross-functional teammates across speech engineering, machine learning, and human-computer interaction (HCI)

  • Deliver and communicate a cohesive product vision that aligns with company goals

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in voice engineering
  • Experience working and building applications with Pipecat
  • Proven track record in designing, deploying, and scaling voice-enabled systems
  • Deep domain knowledge in voice AI and conversational interfaces.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as
  • A systems thinker who balances big-picture vision with attention to detail
  • Passion for real-world impact and solving meaningful problems

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with speech processing toolkits and platforms such as Vapi, Retell, or similar platform and proficiency in deploying real-time voice pipelines

  • Background in voice technology, conversational AI, or human-computer interaction

  • Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset, able to thrive in cross-functional teams and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Compensation for this role is based on market data and takes into account a variety of factors, including location, skills, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. Salary is just one part of the total rewards package at Qventus. Salary Range
$140,000$180,000 USD
